Jacob L. Lorence

Jacob L. Lorence is an associate attorney at Hessian & McKasy, P.A. He originally worked for the firm from 2016-2017. However, he transitioned from the firm to join the United States Air Force Judge Advocate Generals Corps. He re-joined Hessian & McKasy in August 2021 after completing four years of service and separating honorably from the United States Air Force. His main areas of practice include:

Mr. Lorence has experience representing clients in state, federal, and military courts as well as administrative proceedings in front of the Merit Systems Protection Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Office, the Office of Special Counsel, and the National Labor Relations Board.

Mr. Lorence received his Juris Doctor in 2016 from William Mitchell College of Law, summa cum laude. Prior to rejoining Hessian & McKasy, P.A. he was the Chief of Labor and Employment Law at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, W.A. and the Area Defense Counsel at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.

Mr. Lorence is licensed to practice in Minnesota State and federal courts and the 8th Circuit. He is also authorized to practice in front of Department of the Air Force military tribunals and the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals.
